Cebu Oversea Hardware and Cebu Home and Builders Centre Celebrates their Anniversary

On June 12, 2026 the COH group of companies celebrated a momentous achievement. Achieving something that very few companies can accomplish, 74 years of work and building communities in the heart of Cebu. The legacy of brothers, Co King Ting and Co Tiong, lasting from the venture’s founding in 1952 and its original store in Manalili, Cebu City, spreading through different ventures and growing into its most well known retail venture, Cebu Home and Builders Centre, which is also celebrating its 24th year anniversary. A joint celebration of success and growth and many years to come of providing quality building materials to the Filipino people and ensuring they can afford their dream home.

Opening with a holy mass, the day’s celebration was blessed by the priest and well wishes and messages of encouragement and thanks from the management. And also the blessing of the newly renovated Cebu Oversea Hardware Co. Inc. building in Plaridel, where the store has stood over the last few years and has seen its share of history of the growth of its many sectors and also of Cebu itself.

But our celebration is not just about the company. But it’s also about our people, the employees that have been with us for the last several years and through thick and thin. Cebu Oversea Hardware group of companies introduced the “Tinabangay Ta Bai” programme. Where select employees were chosen and were given a grant where their homes were renovated or repaired. Which is a testament of the gratitude of the company’s management to the employees. And that growth is not one way, but goes both ways, uplifting each other in the process.

So to 74 Years of Cebu Oversea Hardware Co. Inc., and 24 Years of Cebu Home and Builders Centre, congratulations and have many more years of growth and success to come.
